This is the two piece shorty carbon rod. The rod is 1″ diameter. The main part is 42″ long and the second is 24″. This rod is 5 foot 6 inches when fully assembled and weighs just over a pound. This rod does not come with tips. The head has 5/16-18 thread for all tips. The connection between the two halves has proprietary threads and WILL NOT interchange with other hail rods. The Aluminum hail rod handle will NOT work on this rod. Don’t forget to check out the tip section of the website to complete your purchase.

This is a must own rod. Light weight. Durable. Very well made. The fact it doesn’t have a handle makes it easy to use in an my roof situation. Along with the ice pic tip I can literally clear half the rods off of my tool cart.
